About me in a nutshell:
Grew up in rural Connecticut in a house my father built on a few acres of hardwood and pine trees. There was a small rill of seasonal water suitable for catching frogs and turtles in the summer and frozen in winter for ice skating. There were coops enough for several thousand chickens to feed and water. And tons of manure to shovel, which incidentally led to my very first paying gig. Won third place for a poster design in 5th grade for Fire Prevention Week. Received an AA in Radio/TV, Grahm Junior College in Boston, 1968, a mere two blocks from Fenway Park where afternoons would find us cutting classes to watch the Red Sox from the cheap seats. Drove a 1965 Corvair across the country to San Francisco where I dabbled in pottery and an alternative lifestyle. Discovered the beautiful Russian River and finally found my way to Montana in 1972. Received a BFA from the University of Montana, 1983, with emphases in jewelry/metal working and printmaking. Got a day job working for Montana Public Radio and then operated Crystal Theatre and Video. Came back to UM as an audio visual tech, eventually supervising the computer help desk and doing project management until retirement.
